Parts of Speech in Hindi किसी भी वाक्य को लिखने व बोलने के लिए शब्दों के समूह का प्रयोग किया जाता है। वाक्य में प्रयोग इन सभी शब्दों को कोई न कोई नाम जरूर दिया जाता है, जैसे – संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, क्रिया, विशेषण आदि।

Group of words are used together in a specific manner to write or speak a sentence. Every single word in a sentence is given a name i.e. Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adjective etc.

शब्दों के सही प्रयोग को समझने के लिए ही इन्हें 8 वर्गों में बाँटा गया है जिन्हें “शब्द भेद” Parts of Speech कहते हैं।

Parts of Speech Definition in Hindi

To understand the sequence of words so that the sentence delivers the correct message these words are categorized in 8 categories, which are called the “Parts of Speech“.

1. Noun ( संज्ञा )

किसी भी प्राणी, स्थान या वस्तु के नाम को संज्ञा कहते हैं।
The word used as the name to indicate a person, place or thing is called a noun. Ex- Girl, School, Dog etc.

उदाहरण

1. सोनम एक अच्छी लड़की है।

1. Sonam is a good girl.

यहाँ पर सोनम एक संज्ञा है जो व्यक्ति (लड़की) का नाम है।

2. सोना एक कीमती धातु है।

2. Gold is a expensive metal.

यहाँ पर Gold एक संज्ञा है जो 1 पदार्थ का नाम है।

3. प्यार जिंदगी है।

3. Love is life.

हम Love को देख, छू और सुन नहीं सकते हैं, केवल आभास कर सकते हैं। (भाववाचक संज्ञा)

2. Pronoun ( सर्वनाम )

सर्वनाम का प्रयोग संज्ञा की स्थान पर किया जाता है उसे सर्वनाम कहते हैं।
Pronoun is the word of used in place of a noun generally to avoid repetition of the noun. Ex- He, She, You, It etc.

उदाहरण

1. मैं स्कूल जाता हूँ।

1. I go to school.

2. मैं इसे खुद खेलूँगा।

2. I will play it myself.

3. यह मेरी कार है।

3. This is my car.

3. Verb ( क्रिया )

क्रिया वो है जिसके माध्यम से संज्ञा के कार्य या अवस्था की जानकारी देती है उसे क्रिया कहते हैं।
Verb is the word that work something about the noun or expresses some action by the noun. Ex- Run, Jump, Read etc.

उदाहरण

1. राज स्कूल जा रहा है।

1. Raj is going to school.

Note यहां पर राज (कर्ता) स्कूल जाने का काम (क्रिया) कर रहा है। इसलिए यहाँ पर जाना Go क्रिया है।

2. सोनम पुस्तक पढ़ चुकी है।

2. Sonam has read the book.

Note यहां पर सोनम (कर्ता) पढ़ना का काम (क्रिया) कर रही है। इसलिए यहाँ पर पढ़ना Read क्रिया है।

3. सुल्तान ने एक आम खाया।

3. Sultan ate a mango. (2nd from eat)

4. Adjective ( विशेषण )

जो किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम की विशेषता को बताते हैं या उनके बारे में कुछ अतिरिक्त खासियत को बताते हैं उसे विशेषण कहते हैं।
Adjective is a term that describe the characteristic of a noun or pronoun or refers to the extra specialty of the noun or pronoun, it is called adjective. Ex- Happy, Brave, Poor etc.

उदाहरण

1. सोनम एक सुंदर लड़की है।

1. Sonam is a beautiful girl.

Note सोनम (संज्ञा) की विशेषता “सुन्दर” होना है।

2. वह बहादुर है। ( Sonam )

2. She is brave. ( Female )

Note वह [सोनम] (सर्वनाम) की विशेषता “बहादुर” होना है।

3. अंकित एक लम्बा लड़का है।

3. Ankit is a tall boy.

Note अंकित (संज्ञा) की विशेषता लम्बा होना है।

5. Adverb ( क्रिया विशेषण )

जो किसी क्रिया की किसी विशेषण की या किसी दूसरे क्रिया विशेषण की विशेषता को बताते हैं उसे क्रिया विशेषण कहते हैं।
Adverb are the words or group of words that show the quality of verb or adjective or another adverb or provide some additional information about them. Ex- Outside, Tonight, Quickly etc.

1. सोनम एक अच्छी लड़की है।

1. Sonam is a good girl.

2. आज मैं बाजार जा रहा हूँ।

2. Today I am going to market.

6. Preposition ( सम्बन्ध सूचक अव्यय या पूर्वसर्ग )

यह वो शब्द होते हैं जो किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम और वाक्य के दूसरे भाग के बीच के संबंध को दर्शाते हैं उसे संबंध सूचक अव्यय कहते हैं।
Preposition is a word used with a noun or pronoun. It expresses the relationship of that noun or pronoun with some other noun or pronoun. Ex- At, On, In etc.

उदाहरण

1. राज 5 घंटे से पढ़ रहा है।

1. Raj has been studying for 5 hours.

2. मैं अभी घर पर हूँ।

2. I am at home now.

3. कुएं से पानी निकालो।

3. Draw the water from a well.

7. Conjunction ( संयोजक )

यह वह शब्द है जो बीच में आकर दो शब्दों या वाक्यों को जोड़ते हैं उसे समुच्चयबोधक या संयोजक कहते हैं। जैस – और / या / किन्तु / परन्तु / नहीं तो आदि।
Conjunction is the word that joins two words or Sentences. Ex- And, But, Or etc.

उदाहरण

2. मुझे घूमना पसंद है लेकिन बस से घूमना करना पसंद नहीं है।

2. I like travelling but don’t like to travel by bus.

3. क्या आप चाय लेंगे या कॉफी ?

3. Will you take tea or coffee ?

4. कोई भी अभी तक आपको नहीं जानता है।

4. No one knows you yet.

8. Interjection ( विस्मयादिबोधक )

इसका प्रयोग अपनी भावनाओं को व्यक्त करने हेतु किया जाता है। अचानक हुई किसी घटना से मन की भावनाओं का व्यक्त होना जैसे खुशी या दुख को प्रकट करना आदि भावनाओं को व्यक्त करने के लिए प्रयोग किये गये ऐसे शब्द के अन्त में एक्सक्लेमेशन मार्क ( ! ) को लगाया जाता है।
Interjections are used to express sudden feelings or emotions that originate due to sudden joy or grief etc. Such words or phrases are followed by an exclamation mark ( ! ). Ex- Wow!, Help!, Oh! etc.

1. वाह! क्या सुन्दर लड़की है।

1. Wow! what a pretty girl.
